Smile, in Deed. [PL, ENG]

To chyba najbardziej rozpoznawalna postać z serialu Hasbro My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic obok Rainbow Dash, no i proszę. Dostała swój pierwszy odcinek w drugim sezonie serialu. Jeśli nie wiedzieliście, że odcinek A Friend in Deed jest o Pinkie, nawet jeśli jesteście mocno zaawansowanymi Bronies, będziecie potrzebowali wiader na tęczę, którą będziecie się krztusić.

I think, that she's the most recognized character of Hasbro's My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series, not counting Rainbo Dash of course, and here we go. If you didn't know that episode A Friend in Deed is all about Pinkie even if you are one of the most advanced bronies, you'll need a bucket for rainbow, which you'll be chocking with.

Do Ponyville przybywa osioł imieniem Cranky Doodle Donkey, aby osiąść tam na starcze lata. Przyjacielska Pinkie Pie pragnie się z nim zaprzyjaźnić, jednak on nie ukazuje zbyt ciepłych emocji w stosunku do niej. Pinkie postanawia, że zrobi wszystko, byle tylko rozweselić starego osiołka.

There comes a new character to Ponyville, called Cranky Doodle Donkey for his retirement. Friendly Pinkie Pie wants to make friends with him but he doesn't seem to share very warm emotions to her or any other pony. Pinkie decides to do anything that's possible, to make old donkey smiling.

Warto rozpocząć od tego, że twórcy MLP od samego początku próbują od nas wycisnąć tyle tęczy, ile tylko się da. No i cholera jasna. Jakże skutecznie... Sam początek nie jest jakiś specjalnie wybitny. Ot Pinkie łazi po Ponyville i wita się z każdym kucykiem dookoła. Spoko, wiadomo, że jest przyjacielska. And then WILD CUTE PINKIE SONG APPEARS.

It's important to admit that the creators of MLP from the beginning try to squeeze as much rainbow as it's possible out of us. And God damn it. It's so effective... The beginnig itself isn't that good. Pinkie is just coming through Ponyville and  greetings every pony around. Neat, we all know that, she's really friendly. And then WILD CUTE PINKIE SONG APPEARS.

 

Droga Matulu Święta i Dzieciątko Jezus. Kiedy to się rozpoczęło, widz myśli sobie coś w rodzaju "O, fajnie, zaczyna się". I po chwili ma cały pokój w tęczy. Noż kurna. Ta piosenka nawet nie jest taka fajna. Znaczy... Z pewnością nie jest lepsza od The Perfect Stallion. Ale co można poradzić na dosłownie całe Ponyville tańczące i śpiewające o uśmiechaniu się oraz na Pinkie Pie noszoną przez Fluttershy, Twilight, Rainbow i Applejack? Mega.

Dear Holy Mother and Baby Jesus. When it began, the viewer thinks something like "Oh, cool, it finally begins". And after just one moment the whole room is in the rainbow. Shit. This song isn't even that good. I mean... It surely is not as good as  The Perfect Stallion. But what can you say about whole Ponyville dancing and singing about smiling and Pinkie Pie bearing by Fluttershy, Twilight, Rainbow and Applejack? Mega.

Sama fabuła nie jest również niczym wybitnym, natomiast jest bardzo przyjemna. Osiołek, który się nie chce uśmiechnąć do Pinkie? Can't be! But there is! Znów dostajemy dowód na to, jak wielką idiotką jest najróżowszy kucyk w całej Equestrii, a na koniec jak zwykle dostajemy dowód na to, jak bardzo się mylimy. Zakończenie łba nie urywa, ale zadowala widza, czyli cel osiągnięty jakby nie patrzeć.

The plot isn't that good either, but it's very pleasant. Donkey that doesn't want to smile to Pinkie? Can't be! But there is! And again, we've got the proof how stupid is the pinkest pony in whole of Equestria and in the end as usual we get the the proof for this how wrong we were. Ending will not blow your head but it's satisfying, so target seems to be reached.

I jeszcze jedno na koniec. Odcinek jest genialny graficznie. Serio, wykorzystano tam zdecydowaną większość znaną z klasyków jak Looney Tunes, a i pokuszono się o zastosowanie animacji wycinankowej. W jak wielkiej ilości kreskówek widzicie animację wycinankową w dzisiejszych czasach? No właśnie. Tworzą ją głównie studenci. A tak bardzo mi jej dzisiaj brakuje... No nic, przynajmniej jest jeden serial, który potrafi mnie nasycić!

And one more thing for the end. Graphically, the episode is just genius. Really, they used most of the tricks known from as classics as Looney Tunes and they attempted for using cutout animation. What's the number of cartoons in which you have seen the cutout animation now-a-days? That's right. It's made generally only by college students. And I miss it so much... Well, there's at least one series, in which I can be filled.

W sumie, odcinek był całkiem dobry. Całkiem bardzo dobry. Praktycznie cały czas Pinkie, czyż to nie piękne? Jestem niemal pewien, że po tym epizodzie wypłynie nowa fala świetnych memów do internetu. O dziwo, na 4chanie nie jest ich jeszcze zbyt wiele. 9-/10. A oto filmik podsumowujący.
